Frequently asked questions
How searches, alerts and your allowance work.
Can I try a search without an account?
Yes. Guests get one search per day per browser or network, resetting at midnight UTC. People on the same Wi-Fi may share that allowance. Create a free account for more searches and saved alerts.
What do I get with a free account?
Current Scout access includes five saved alerts and ten one-time searches per day. Paid memberships are not available yet.
What uses a search credit?
Starting a new one-time source check reserves one credit. A successful check counts even if no listings match. Browsing stored listings and eligible shared or recent-result reuse do not use another member credit. A guest search uses the daily guest allowance even when it reuses results.
What happens if a search fails?
Blocked, failed or expired collection jobs restore the reserved allowance. If a response is interrupted, use Retry the same request so the site can recover its status.
When does my allowance reset?
Daily allowances reset at midnight UTC, which may differ from midnight in your local time zone. Unused daily searches do not carry over.
How do scheduled alerts work?
Save a search, then enable Scheduled searches in Alerts / feed. Current checks run hourly or slower. Cloud sources can run independently; Facebook requires its collector to be connected. They do not use your manual-search allowance. Turning an alert off stops future checks; a check already in progress may finish.
Does the feed refresh run another search?
No. Feed updates read collected results and current alert status. They do not start an extra marketplace scan or use a search credit.
What does a shared result mean?
Matching source searches can share collection work across accounts. Your budget, delivery preferences and excluded keywords still filter your own results. Your account identity and exact saved address are not shown to other users. Sharing your query as a nearby suggestion is a separate, optional setting.
Are listings and refresh times guaranteed?
No. Marketplaces can restrict access, delay updates or omit listings. Current Facebook checks are regional; a nationwide preference does not guarantee nationwide coverage. Verify availability, condition and final price on the original listing. Distances and calculated costs are estimates.
Will I receive Discord notifications?
Save your Discord webhook in Alerts / feed, then enable automatic delivery. New matching listings from enabled scheduled alerts can be sent to that channel. Delivery can be paused; failed or uncertain messages appear in delivery history.
Will I be charged automatically?
No. Current access is free, and creating an account does not start a paid trial or authorize recurring charges. Before paid subscriptions launch, pricing, renewal, cancellation and refund terms will be shown for your agreement.
